Home Is Where The Heart Is Dashawn Jordan 🛹

Every year Dashawn Jordan hosts a free community event for his local Arizona skate community called, Home Is Where The Heart Is. This year was special because he was also launching his first signature shoe, the Nike SB Dashawn Jordan “Copperhead” at Faces Skateshop in Tempe, AZ. But first, we attended WWE Smackdown the night before the official launch event.

As a Minute Maid brand partner, we wanted to do something special in support and show up in an authentic way to celebrate his shoe and career journey. So, we had an idea: what if we made a giant Minute Maid carton that people could actually skate on? It wasn’t some huge expensive activation by any means, however, we knew the earned engagement would pay for itself. Selfishly as a sneakerhead I knew we had to make this work, but it was also a chance to do something really unique and cool for Minute Maid. We set up a sampling tent, brought out Juicehead mascot and made the Juice Grind Box as part of the skate course. With several NikeSB Pro Skaters participating, we captured tons of social content .

As part of the event, one lucky winner was selected for “Best Trick” and secured a year’s supply of Minute Maid. There were food trucks, giveaways, ticks and concert with musical guests like Ty Dolla $ign, BlXst, Made in Tokyo and more.

Everyone had their phones out for every moment and Minute Maid was subtly there in the background for every shot that would appear across attendees social channels.
